Yes. The whole database is backed up every night and encrypted before it is written, and backups are kept for 90 days.
Every backup is verified as part of the run itself, not on a separate schedule. It is restored into a temporary database and the number of rows in every table is compared against the source. A backup that cannot be read back, or that does not match, is reported as a failure rather than counted as a success. The monitoring that watches for this sits outside the server, so a night when the backup does not run at all is noticed as well.
